What to Expect
The first step is your free consultation.
During your private consultation at Stadia Med Spa, Your provider will examine your scalp, talk to you about your symptoms, and help you determine which treatment approach you should try to help regrow your full and natural hair. They may suggest a single treatment or a combination of hair restoration procedures to improve hair growth and appearance.
Stadia Med Spa offers a free consultation to ensure that the P-shot is the correct procedure to meet your needs. Typical candidates might struggle with erectile dysfunction or impotence. Brandie Charles RN is Stadia Med Spa’s certified P-shot provider.
Before Treatment
Prepare for your hair restoration treatment by disclosing any medications, herbal supplements, and prescriptions that may interfere with your procedure. If you can, avoid NSAIDs and other anti-inflammatory medications as they increase bruising and may affect the outcome of your treatments.
Arrive at your appointment with clean, dry hair without styling products. Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment, especially if you are receiving the hair treatment.
Depending on your treatment, you may need to stop your hair growth medications and supplements. Avoid alcohol and cigarettes as they may increase your risk of side effects like bruising, swelling, and discoloration.
During Treatment
Each hair restoration treatment has a unique procedure. Here are the basics for each of the three hair restoration treatments offered at Stadia Med Spa. If you are unsure about which procedure is right for you, start by scheduling a free consultation.
The KeraLase™ Procedure
The KeraLase™ procedure takes approximately 20 – 30 minutes. First, the scalp is treated with the LaseMD laser which may cause a warm, tingling sensation. Then the KeraFactor® serum will be massaged in, which usually feels gentle and relaxing.
Scalp health and hair growth will improve after a series of treatments, scheduled one month apart. For best results, it is recommended that patients have the KeraLase™ in-office once every 2 weeks. Stadia Med Spa recommends a minimum of 6 treatments over the course of three months.
Although some patients see results immediately, most patients’ results appear gradually over 3 to 5 treatments. Stadia also encourages maintenance visits every 1 to 3 months in the office.
The combination of KeraLase™ and daily use of the take-home KeraFactor® spray in between treatments is recommended for optimal results and to maintain overall scalp and hair health. The spray and KeraLase™ serum both contain the same growth factors and skin proteins, however, the in-office solution contains a much higher concentration of these ingredients. Using the spray at home will lead to ongoing hair health and could lead to fewer maintenance treatments.
Your scalp/hair will dry after 15 or 20 minutes. Patients should allow the solution to fully absorb before applying heat. Stadia Med Spa recommends that patients do not use a hairdryer within an hour of receiving the treatment or applying the spray.
You can use hair styling products as soon as the product is absorbed and your hair/scalp has dried. Lastly, wait at least 6-12 hours before washing your hair after KeraLase™.
The Hydrafacial Keravive Procedure
The Hydrafacial Keravive procedure is a first-of-its-kind, three-step treatment that includes an in-office component and a 30-day take-home spray.
First, the HydraFacial Vortex Technology cleanses and exfoliates. It gently extracts dirt, oil, and impurities from your scalp and hair follicles.
Next, the Keravive Peptide Complex Solution exfoliates your scalp and nourishes your hair follicles with growth factors and skin proteins to promote a healthy scalp and healthier, fuller-looking hair.
The procedure itself is pain-free, gentle, and relaxing. It takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. You will feel some suction on your scalp and a cooling sensation from the solutions that are administered during the treatment.
Patients who are pregnant or nursing should not have a Hydrafacial treatment. The HydraFacial Keravive treatment and take–home spray can be used on clients with bonded or taped–in hair extensions. You simply need to spray the solution directly on the scalp and not on the hair or extensions.
After Treatment
The hair restoration treatments at Stadia Media Spa require little to no downtime. Plan to take extra care of your scalp and hair in the days following your procedure. Ask your provider when you are safe to use hair styling products and when you can shower/wash your hair.
You should avoid NSAIDs for two weeks after because they may interfere with the results of your treatment. KeraLase may result in bruising, swelling, or redness that should fade within a few days of your treatment.
